Explorations of collaborations over time & space, my work examines
marks, landmarks, mark-making.
Permanence, transience, identity & anonymity.
I use vintage reclaimed “paint-by-number” paintings as a base for my collaborative illusory artworks.
I combine mixed-media elements of imperfectly perfect collage, painting, drawing and assemblage together utilizing select new/contemporary & vintage/antique pieces to creative a narrative exploring a deeper raw symbolic/spiritual language.
I alter & add images from high-fashion, design and historic travel sources with specific places or landmarks. Many of these “landmarks” have been “erased” or significantly altered in the canvas of time and some no longer exist.
My work unveils familiar yet mysterious places that bridge the space from the past to the present and the old/familiar to the new/unknown.
